The James Morrison Jazz Weekend concludes with Concert Three: Vocal Bliss on Sunday 6 September 2026 at UKARIA Cultural Centre. James Morrison AM and alto saxophonist Patrick Bartley will perform with twelve vocalists directed by Naomi Crellin, the esteemed alto from The Idea of North, along with three ensemble members.
The concert spans multiple vocal styles and settings, moving from a cappella passages to arrangements with rhythm section. The repertoire ranges from hymns and swing to samba and bossa nova, showcasing the versatility of Morrison's approach to ensemble performance. Morrison describes the vocalists as creating "a wonderland" in which he and Bartley can explore their musical ideas.
