We review theatre, music, comedy, cabaret and festival shows across Adelaide and South Australia, written by critics who are in the room.
On Your Markus reviews theatre, musicals, live music, comedy, cabaret and festival shows across Adelaide and South Australia. Our reviews are written by critics who attend in person, and they're among the most-read arts coverage in the state: readers find them when deciding what to see, venues quote them, and they stay online permanently as part of your show's record.
If you're staging a show in Adelaide, we'd like to hear about it. Producers, publicists, venues and independent artists can all request coverage, from an arena tour to a one-night season in a room above a pub.

How it works
Tell us about your show below, with dates, venue and access to media tickets. We read every request. We can't guarantee a review: our critics' time is limited, we cover what we judge will most interest our readers, and an honest masthead only works if coverage is earned rather than promised. What we can guarantee is that a review, if we attend, is our critic's genuine assessment.
What a review includes
A written review with a star rating, published with your show's dates, venue and booking link while your season runs. Reviews are shared with our newsletter subscribers and social audience, and we notify you on publication so you can quote and share it.
During Adelaide Fringe
We review as many Fringe shows as our critics can attend. Requests with flexible dates and early notice have the best chance.

Frequently asked questions
Do you review every show?
No. Our critics' time is limited, so we cover what we judge will most interest our readers. That selectiveness is deliberate: coverage that is earned rather than guaranteed is what makes a review worth quoting.
Does it cost anything?
No. Reviews are never paid for and never for sale. A review, if we attend, is our critic's genuine and independent assessment.
When should I get in touch?
As early as possible, especially for Adelaide Fringe. Early notice and flexible dates give your show the best chance of being reviewed.
Do you need media tickets?
Yes, two: one for the critic and one for a photographer or guest. Let us know who arranges media tickets when you get in touch.
What happens after I submit?
We read every request. If we are able to attend we will be in touch to arrange media tickets, and we notify you when the review publishes so you can share and quote it.
