The venue features exquisite acoustic design that encourages a close relationship between performers and audience, with a character emphasising community over formal concert hall conventions. Location

119 Williams Rd, Mt Barker Summit, South Australia 5251. The Cultural Centre is located in the Adelaide Hills, 40km from the Adelaide CBD, on the Ngeringa property just outside Mount Barker.

Getting there

By car: travelling via the South Eastern Freeway, take the Bald Hills Road exit to bypass Mount Barker township. Williams Road is unsealed; drive slowly. Ample parking on site with multiple paved entry points through the garden. Disabled parking bays available at the top right near the Garden Terrace. By taxi or Uber: Mount Barker Taxis available, or use Uber app. By bus: UKARIA offers a bus service for selected performances at $22 per person, listed on concert event pages.

History

The Ukaria Cultural Centre was designed by architect Anton Johnson and built in 2015.
