Soprano Siobhan Stagg leads a concert at UKARIA Cultural Centre on 4 October 2026 featuring new and classic chamber works, including the premiere of Anne Cawrse's Snapshots of Love and Life.
UKARIA Cultural Centre will present Chamberfest Concert Four: The Mighty and Mundane on 4 October 2026. The 90-minute concert, led by soprano Siobhan Stagg, opens with Bach's Gottes Zeit is die allerbeste Zeit transcribed for four-hand piano and continues with works ranging from Francis Poulenc's Sonata for Four Hands to Chausson's La Chanson perpétuelle. The program features the premiere of Anne Cawrse's Snapshots of Love and Life, a seven-movement song cycle set to poetry by Adelaide poet Anna Goldsworthy exploring nontraditional approaches to love and relationships in contemporary family life. Soprano Rachel Fenlon, mezzo-soprano Helen Charlston, pianist Jonathan Ware, and chamber ensemble Quatuor Agate join Stagg for the performance. The concert also includes Ukrainian composer Anna Korsun's Last Flight (commissioned by Quatuor Agate for their ECHO Rising Stars nomination) and works by Andrew Ford, David Hirschfelder, and the late John Rodgers, several originally commissioned by Katie Noonan with the Brodsky Quartet. Tickets are $80 for adults, $75 concession, and $40 for under-40s.
