The Austral
The Austral is a pub located on Rundle Street East in Adelaide's city centre. Originally opened as Cohen's Family Hotel in 1898 and renamed the Astral, it became known for illegal betting in the 1950s before transforming into a major venue for live music in the 1980s and 1990s. It was the first pub in South Australia to have Coopers beer on tap.

History
The Austral was originally opened as Cohen's Family Hotel in 1898 and renamed the Astral. It was heritage-listed on 5 April 1984. The pub underwent an extensive restoration in 2020.
