Adelaide Town Hall is a civic building in Adelaide city centre that houses the Lord Mayor's chambers, Adelaide City Council offices, and facilities for meetings and public functions. It has served as a prominent cultural venue hosting concerts, performances by ensembles such as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra, and major public events. The building was considered one of the biggest municipal buildings in the Southern Hemisphere when it opened in 1866.

History
Adelaide Town Hall was built following the re-formation of the Adelaide City Council in 1852. After architectural competitions in 1858 and 1863, the winning design by Edmund Wright and Edward Woods was selected. Construction commenced in March 1863 with the foundation stone laid by Governor Dominic Daly on 4 May 1863. The building opened to the public on 20 June 1866 and was regarded as one of the largest city halls in the Southern Hemisphere. The building underwent several extensions in the 19th century and comprehensive renovations in the 1980s. Conservation works on the façade commenced on 11 September 2023.
