Mick Thomas' Roving Commission tours Australia from November through January with special guests Norwood, performing at theatres and pubs across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia. The tour includes shows in Adelaide (The Wheatsheaf, 10 December) and culminates in the annual New Year's Day All In Brawl at Archie's Creek Hotel with Charlotte Le Lievre, Kylie Auldist Dance Set and MC Henry Wagons, plus a split single launch with Hana and Jessie-Lee's Bad Habits.

Yes folks - it’s that time of the year again!

And hasn’t this year felt like a tough one? It seems people have more and more stuff to deal with. Which we reckon is all the more reason to get out of the house and say hello to some old friends. It’s a time to remember the ones you’ve lost and make some new ones in the process. It’s all about connection, tradition, looking backwards and moving forwards. It’s all about Christmas with Mick Thomas’ Roving Commission.

And for the Christmas stocking there’ll be some flash new merch, including a brand new 7” Vinyl split single out in conjunction with last year’s tour buddies Hana and Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits, (Still) Don’t Need Much b/w Somebody’s Fool

All shows, including Mick's New Year's Day traditional All In Brawl show at Archies Creek, are with up-and-coming Melbourne alt-folk troubadours Norwood. (It's probably no coincidence that

Olivia Bolmat from Norwood is also a member of Mick's revived 'holiday' band Shackleton3, replacing Liz Stringer alongside Mick and Anna Burley of the Killjoys.) The New Year's Day show also includes Charlotte Le Lievre, Kylie Aludist Dance Set and MC Henry Wagons.

2027 has been another busy year for Mick and gang, coming off the back of their late 2025 ARIA Top 40 charting album GoComeBack and the usual abundance of shows. Mick also undertook a GoSoloComeBack tour, and launched a hugely successful and intensely active Substack site and newsletter called The Top Paddock, which provides subscribers with a regular feast of exclusive music, interviews, stories and news.
