Australian band Rum Jungle are set to take another significant step in their remarkable ascent, joining global superstar Louis Tomlinson as support act on his highly anticipated ‘How Did We Get Here?’ 2026 Australian tour this October. It's a fitting pairing, with both artists sharing a gift for emotionally resonant songwriting, soaring anthems and the kind of passionate fan connection that transforms every show into something unforgettable.

Picked personally by Louis himself to be his support act, the four-piece band from Newcastle have grown from hometown favourites into one of the country's most exciting exports. Their signature mix of indie rock, alternative pop and laid-back coastal charm has resonated with audiences around the world, amassing millions of streams and selling out headline shows across Australia, the UK, Europe and North America.
Their debut album Recency Bias landed at #1 on the ARIA charts, and recent sophomore release Marginalia have cemented their reputation as one of Australia's defining new acts. For Rum Jungle, the tour marks another milestone in a career defined by constant growth and fearless ambition. For his third album How Did I Get Here? Louis Tomlinson pushed himself as a lyricist, songwriter, and performer, holding nothing back on these tracks. As a writer, he’s diving deeper into who he is than ever before. The accompanying “How Did We Get Here?” live tour kicked off in March this year travelling across Europe, the UK and United States to rave reviews before this leg concluding in Louis’s beloved Australia where he stated, “As long as I’ve been touring, I’ve always come to Aus. It’s inevitable. I love it there. So yeah, I’ll definitely be there!”
Following a world-conquering run as a member of One Direction, Louis formally introduced himself as a solo artist with Walls [2020]. Dubbed “excellent” by Rolling Stone, his debut LP moved over 1.2 million copies worldwide and reeled in nearly 1 billion total streams. Two years later, he levelled up on Faith In The Future [2022]. The album hit No.1 in the UK, Spain, Argentina, Belgium and cracked the Top 5 in Australia and on the US Billboard 200. This year How Did I Get Here? continued his global chart dominance.
