Death Angel returns to Australia after nine years with Act III masterclass

HARDLINE MEDIA proudly presents DEATH ANGEL performing ACT III in its entirety. San Francisco Bay Area Thrash Metal veterans DEATH ANGEL will return to Australia for the first time in nearly a decade, and what a treat they have installed for us, performing their masterpiece album, ACT III, in full, plus a blistering set of some of their classic THRASH catalogue!!

Death Angel are credited as a leader of the second wave of Thrash Metal from the 1980s, and considered one of the genre's "Big Eight",along with Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Exodus and Overkill. Following the underground success of their first two studio albums, The Ultra-Violence (1987) and Frolic Through The Park (1988), Death Angel signed to worldwide major label Geffen Records in 1989, and released the album Act III, the following year.

Adam McCann of Metal Digest called Act III "an early 90's classic thrash album", and wrote, "There was something always a little bit more technical and progressive about Death Angel, but with Act III, the band found the perfect combination of Thrash; technical and accessibility, as they created a beast which saw the band achieve MTV heavy rotation with 'A Room With a View' and 'Seemingly Endless Time'. Check any list of the best Heavy Metal albums of all time and nine times out of ten, you'll find Act III."

Today the band stand as one of the true survivors of the San Fran Bay Area Thrash scene from the early 80's, which truly re-shaped the heavy music world... Still releasing albums, still touring and even being one of the very, very few Thrash bands to be nominated for a Grammy, for Best Metal Performance with Humanicide in 2020. The band are paying homage on the 35th anniversary of Act III and are coming down to Australia to perform the album in full.  Australian fans haven't had the chance to see the band since their 2018 Aussie tour with Sepultura - well here's your chance fans, a true headline tour from one of the leaders in the scene, DEATH ANGEL!
