As the first residency of its kind at Crown’s brand-new live entertainment venue, 5.0 will combine state-of-the-art production with an intimate live setting, bringing Tina and her audience closer together across a month of truly special performances. More than a retrospective, the residency celebrates where it all began, the extraordinary journey since and an artist who continues to evolve - 50 years on, still doing what she does best: live on stage.

Continuing her spirit of musical exploration, Tina has today released here Way of the World, a new six-track EP that reimagines some of the most distinctive songs from across pop and alternative music. Produced by François Tétaz and Luke Howard and recorded primarily at Melbourne’s Synth Temple, the EP features Tina’s interpretations of New Order’s True Faith, Max Q / Michael Hutchence’s Way of the World, Depeche Mode’s Enjoy the Silence, Duran Duran’s Ordinary World, Ada Mori’s Torno Bambina and Frank Ocean’s Cayendo.

Drawing on stunning orchestral arrangements, prepared piano, analogue synthesis and electronic textures, these are far more than traditional cover versions. Each track is a complete artistic reimagining, showcasing Tina’s expressive vocal power and fearless musical curiosity while reaffirming her status as one of Australia’s most enduring and compelling vocalists.

Audiences will also have the opportunity to discover the woman behind the music when Tina Arena: Unravel Me premieres on Seven and 7plus at 7.00pm on Sunday, 18 October. An intimate, cinematic portrait of one of Australia’s most enduring and enigmatic artists, the documentary explores Tina’s life through two interwoven perspectives: Tina the icon and Tina the woman. Trailer here.

Tracing five decades of extraordinary career highs, devastating lows, industry rejection, history-making success and international reinvention, the film peels back the layers of fame to reveal new revelations and untold stories, told in Tina’s own words. Featuring original material filmed across Australia, France, the United States and London, the documentary brings together international contributors, archival footage, still photography, personal home videos, music videos and live performances to create a deeply personal account of an artist whose determination and resilience have defined her career.

Tina Arena: Unravel Me is a Helium Pictures production directed by acclaimed filmmaker and Wonnarua man Adrian Russell Wills (Black Divaz), with executive producer Mark Fennessy (Mystify: Michael Hutchence) and writer/producer Jessica Carrera (Paper Dolls). Principal production funding is from Screen Australia, with post-production in New South Wales and financing in association with Screen NSW, Seven Network and The Post Lounge.

Together, these three announcements capture the many dimensions of Tina Arena: the groundbreaking vocalist continuing to push musical boundaries, the formidable live performer whose songs have soundtracked generations, and the woman whose remarkable story continues to resonate.

Fifty years on, Tina Arena is not simply looking back. She is celebrating the journey with her loyal fans, embracing the present and creating what comes next.
