Where The Money Goes, The New Single From The Pleasures, Is Out Now

Where the Money Goes is the brand new song from The Pleasures.

Fresh off a six-week tour of sold-out rooms and festivals in the UK and Scandinavia, the band is preparing for their Official Showcase at the 25th Anniversary AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, Tennessee – where they’ll join the ranks of the hottest and most talked-about Americana acts in the world. So the timing seems right to leak a little more of the new album to the world.

Written together on the road by co-front-persons Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan, Where the Money Goes is something of a cautionary tale, harmonised from start to finish by the pair to the accompaniment of dustbowl banjo, jagged percussion, and reverb-drenched electric guitar. Forthright, direct, and cutting, the song epitomises The Pleasures’ approach to making music together, and illustrates just why they’ve become a lauded songwriting partnership and a hot live act right now.
