SHAKIRA REACHES THE GLOBAL TOP 5 WITH “DAI DAI”.

CO-HEADLINING FIFA WORLD CUP HALFTIME SHOW ON JULY 19!

Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2026, is proving to become a global phenomenon. Echoing the success of “Waka Waka” in 2010, the track has quickly become one of the landmark songs of the tournament, climbing into the Top 5 of Spotify’s Global Songs chart and the Top 5 in Spain. The record has also secured its place in chart history, becoming the fourth official FIFA World Cup song to enter the US Billboard Hot 100.

On July 19, Shakira will be co-headlining the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show on Sunday, 19 July 2026 in New YorkThe 11-minute halftime show will take place right in the middle of the final match where she will share the stage with pop legend Madonna and K-pop supergroup BTS. The massive production is being curated by Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, in partnership with Global Citizen. The show serves a charitable cause, with proceeds and ticket-sale donations directly funding the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

Shakira made her presence felt in the tournament, having kicked off the festivities earlier this month by performing the 2026 official anthem, “Dai Dai,” alongside Burna Boy at the opening match in Mexico City. Alongside their collaboration, the track also features a notable songwriting contribution from Ed Sheeran, highlighting the friendship and creative relationship between the British singer and Colombian artist.

The collaboration arrives as Shakira’s acclaimed Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour continues across the United States, where Shakira has teased a wave of surprises across upcoming dates, including special guests Ed Sheeran, Zara Larsson and more. Fans can expect performances of tracks including “Zoo,” whose choreography with giant tigers has gone viral in recent days.

In recent weeks, Shakira has begun unveiling surprises about her concerts in Spain. The first is that the song “Sale el Sol” will be exclusive to her residency at Macondo Park. The track holds great emotional weight for the Colombian singer, having been written as a tribute to her friend Gustavo Cerati, former member of the band Soda Stereo. First performed live in Madrid in 2010, the track’s return to the city adds an emotional and symbolic element to the residency.

With “Dai Dai” gaining traction worldwide and the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour continuing its stadium run across North America, Shakira is reinforcing her status as one of the most influential global artists of 2026. Her cultural and commercial impact continues to resonate with audiences on an international scale.
