Adelaide Festival Centre’s Festival Theatre will be reimagined for Magic Mike Live, transforming the major theatre space into an immersive, 360-degree environment that surrounds audiences with the action. Designed specifically to bring the Magic Mike Live experience to venues around the world, the production combines the raw energy and intimacy that has made the show a global hit with an ambitious new scale.
“For years now, our team has tried to figure out how to bring the experience that millions of Magic Mike Live fans have witnessed at our residencies in London and Las Vegas to audiences in cities, large and small, around the world,” shared Vincent Marini, Executive Producer of Magic Mike Live.
“It took the combined talents of every member of the creative team, but what we’ve ultimately created is one of the most unique, thrilling nights in a theatre you can experience. The new Magic Mike Live tour is bigger, bolder and in many ways even more groundbreaking than the original, with new music, inspired staging, reimagined choreography, and a 360-degree production design that is simply mind-blowing. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just wondering what all the hype is about, this is the once-in-a-lifetime live experience you simply have to see to believe!”
And while there is plenty that’s new, Magic Mike Live fans will still find the thrilling and inspiring storyline, fan-favourite moments, and playful audience interaction that have become signatures of the show’s unparalleled experience. Kate Gould, CEO Adelaide Festival Centre said: “Coinciding with AFL Gather Round, Magic Mike Live will add even more energy and excitement to the city, giving South Australians and visitors the chance to experience this extraordinary new production. Festival Theatre is made for spectacular live entertainment, and to see it transformed for a show with the energy, scale and global reputation of Magic Mike Live will be something very special.”
