South Australian Pride Gala to Debut Inaugural Pride Awards and Hall of Fame
South Australia is poised to celebrate a historic moment of LGBTQIA+ pride and recognition with the inaugural South Australian Pride Gala. This momentous occasion, scheduled for Saturday 15 June 2024, will not only mark a celebration of diversity and inclusivity but also serve as the platform for the launch of the South Australian Pride Awards and the creation of the SA Pride Hall of Fame.
Produced by local not-for-profit organisation Pride Adelaide, the South Australian Pride Gala is set to be an evening of extravagance and empowerment, showcasing the remarkable talents and stories within the LGBTQIA+ community. Hosted at the prestigious Her Majestys Theatre, attendees can expect an array of captivating performances, all aimed at celebrating the richness and resilience of LGBTQIA+ identities in South Australia.

Adding to the excitement, the Gala will also host the debut of the South Australian Pride Awards, recognising outstanding individuals, organisations, and initiatives that have made significant contributions to LGBTQIA+ rights and visibility across South Australia. Categories for awards include Community Support Group of the Year, Event of the Year, Venue of the Year, and Performer of the Year, highlighting the diverse efforts and achievements within the community.
Furthermore, the South Australian Pride Gala will mark the launch of the SA Pride Hall of Fame, honouring individuals whose lifetime contributions have left an indelible mark on LGBTQIA+ history in South Australia. The Gala will proudly induct its first members into this esteemed Hall of Fame, paying homage to their enduring legacy and impact.
