Five tattooed men pose together indoors against a brick wall during an interview setting.

King Parrot are just about to wrap up their monstrous tour around North America with Pantera and Amon Amarth. Not a band to sit on their hands, they are taking a quick breather before heading back out on the road here at home for Part 2 of their Australian Album launch tour for the new record “A Young Person’s Guide to King Parrot“.

Local supports have been locked and loaded and with three incredible acts plus King Parrot, every show on the run is packed with the best and gnarliest of heavy music this country has to offer.

Bringing in all of the spots that were missed on Part 1, King Parrot remains 100% committed to dismantling Australia town by town, city by city and with a smorgasbord of new tracks on offer, this new live show is pushing the band into unchartered territory.

“A Young Person’s Guide to King Parrot” is the bands strongest release to date and has seen the band going from strength to strength all over the globe. So far this year, the boys have been to Europe for 36 shows, they’ve headlined their own successful album launch tour on the East Coast of Australia and are now smashing through a 43 date run of North America after being invited by Pantera to return to the US as support.

It’s easy to see why King Parrot continues to forge a reputation as one of Australia’s hardest working and entertaining acts. This part 2 of their Album Launch Tour further solidifies the band as one Australia’s top extreme music exports, so be sure to get along and witness the ferociously unhinged live spectacle of King Parrot!

Regarding these new dates, the band comment; “We’re beyond excited to get back out to the homeland and play all the spots we missed on the first leg, so Queensland, WA and SA (And Ballarat and Albury ;)), brace yourselves as we prepare to bring the KP grind carnage your way. New songs, new drummer, and renewed energy and intensity off the back of a 45 show North American tour!

The reception we’ve had in the US and Canada from the new record has been beyond our expectations and to have the opportunity to tour alongside metal giants this year has been incredible. We’re comin’ for ya Australia… so get your tickets and get on board!”

On a different note, Metal On Tap say ‘King Parrot grind all the way through with aggression, attitude, and a message of sovereignty and independence. Our lives have been taken from us—A Young Person’s Guide To is the call to take it back.
