Markus Hamence is Chatting in The Jungle Room with Australian indie/folk music artist Domini Forster.
Domini Forster who has just released her new single MAGNOLIA, giving us a third glimpse of her sophomore album, The Lonely, set for release on 20 June 2025.
Magnolia combines Domini’s lush, radiant vocals with captivating storytelling and rich production, making this her most enticing track yet. Dom has had the help of Lachlan Carrick (Gotye, Lior, Emma Donovan) on prod, mixing and recording and Josh Barber (Gretta Ray, Gotye) on co-prod and instruments to bring Magnolia and The Lonely to life.
You may recognise Domini from her last release, the critically acclaimed collaboration EP with LIOR, ANIMAL IN HIDING. The pair met in 2021 at a song writing competition, instantly connected – seeing Lior ask Domini to support his shows, which ended up resulting in them creating the ep during the covid lockdowns in Melbourne. The EP eventuated in a huge Aussie tour in 2022 and 2023 and included performances at the prestigious MONA, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Woodford Folk Festival.

Domini is celebrating the release of her second studio album by performing on stages throughout June to September, including Tassie and a special Melb show at the Northcote Theatre before choofing off to Canberra and jumping into shows in NSW, including two with Emily Lubitz (Tinpan Orange).
