Logan St is a new production set in the backyard of an Adelaide mosque, tracing the unlikely friendship between Goolie, an Afghan cameleer and mosque caretaker, and Dulcie, a young Aboriginal woman, as war, racism and bureaucracy close in around them. Their bond, built through storytelling, cooking and kinship, is woven together with the story of Munarto, a Kaurna girl living through the devastation of colonisation in 1836, so that past and present echo against each other.

The work comes from Kaurna and Narungga theatre-maker Jacob Boehme, who draws on the legacy of the cameleers and the strength of his female ancestors to explore resistance and resilience on Kaurna Country.

The performance screens at Space Theatre on 28 July 2026 at 7.30pm, and entry is free. The production contains violent and sexual references, and patrons should note that essential oil diffusers (rose and smoked blue bush) will be used in the auditorium.
