PRIDE GALA: 2026 IS SET TO BE SOMETHING SPECIAL
The South Australian Pride Gala returns on Saturday 6 June 2026, taking over the King’s Birthday long weekend with a renewed sense of excitement, pride, and momentum. After two sold-out years, the Gala enters its third year with a new venue, a refreshed format, and a night designed to feel bigger, warmer, and more connected than ever.
There is a real buzz around the 2026 Gala. This year is about building on what has worked and giving the night more room to breathe. More space to gather. More opportunity to connect. More moments that feel shared and meaningful for the community coming together in the room.

“We are genuinely excited about what this year is shaping up to be,” said Dave Newman, Chair of Pride Adelaide. “We’ve taken the time to listen to our community and reflect on what makes this night so important. The 2026 Gala feels like the next step in the journey, and it’s one we’re really proud of.”
The South Australian Pride Awards return in 2026 with expanded and refreshed categories, recognising the depth and diversity of contribution across South Australia. The Awards celebrate individuals, community groups, workplaces, creatives, volunteers, and leaders who strengthen inclusion, visibility, and belonging through real action.
“These awards matter because they tell our communities’ stories,” Newman said. “They highlight the people who keep showing up, often without recognition. Expanding the categories allows us to recognise more of that work and more of the people behind it.” Nomination are now open.
The South Australian Pride Hall of Fame will again be a centrepiece of the night in 2026. This year’s inductees are being carefully considered, with a focus on individuals whose contribution to Pride in South Australia spans decades and reflects deep commitment, courage, and care for community. These are people whose impact has shaped the movement and continues to be felt today.
“Our Hall of Fame is about legacy,” Newman said. “It’s about recognising those who gave so much of themselves to Pride in South Australia, often at times when doing so was incredibly difficult. The stories we will share this year are powerful, and they deserve to be honoured in the right way.”
The 2026 Gala brings the community together across the King’s Birthday long weekend for a night that balances celebration with meaning. With a new venue, a refreshed program, and the same Pride energy that has defined the Gala from the start, the night promises to be one people will talk about long after it ends.
“We know how much this night means to our community,” Newman said. “The excitement is already building, and we cannot wait to bring everyone together again.”
Tickets for the South Australian Pride Gala 2026 are on sale now, with strong demand expected following two sold-out years.
