The Houston trio play Melbourne's Forum on 14 February, Adelaide's The Gov on 16 February, Perth's Astor Theatre on 18 February, Sydney's Enmore Theatre on 20 February, and Brisbane's The Tivoli on 21 February, with general tickets on sale from 23 October at 11am local time. --- Three years after their last visit to Australia, widely-adored experimental pop rock trio **Waterparks**(USA) today announce they will bring their energetic and banter-filled live show across the country in February 2027. Joining the Houston outfit in Australia is alt-pop icon **girli **(UK), and Australian rock wunderkind **Maple’s Pet Dinosaur. ** ![Three young men pose against a white backdrop, one with bright pink hair wearing a black shirt in the foreground.](https://media.onyourmarkus.au/admin/2026/10/9d93eb24-cab3-4b76-8235-de8ba48a9bfb.jpg) Across a vibrant ten year career spanning six studio albums, countless shows, and over 1 billion streams, **Awsten Knight ***(vocals, guitar)*, **Geoff Wigington*** (lead guitar)*, and **Otto Wood***** ****(drums) *have built one of modern rock’s most exciting, shapeshifting catalogues. Whether headlining theatres or festivals, or supporting **My Chemical Romance** on a sold-out arena run, Waterparks connect with audiences wherever they go with their genre-blending, hook-fuelled tracks and undeniable charm. Waterparks first touched down in Australia in 2018 supporting **The Maine**, before returning later that year for an appearance at **Good Things **festival. Following the release of their fifth record ***INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ***(Fueled by Ramen) in 2023, the band returned for their first headline tour downunder, selling out all dates and prompting a venue upgrade in Melbourne from 170 Russell to the Forum.  With their new album ***JINX ***(BMG) in tow - including the delightfully chaotic*** ‘******[TELL ME WHY’ ](https://us.list-manage.com/xW4v33cwh3x?e=4b1ec3ff0f&c2id=43288f578e0d71b33af3b00411e7caae)*****[ft. A true disruptor in the pop genre, girli’s music is bold, addictive, and incredibly candid, with lyrics often centred on subjects like beauty standards, sexuality, mental health, and the sociopolitical climate. A girli live show is a vital and life-affirming experience. [Watch on YouTube](https://youtu.be/0GF3dhlCqsE?si=19XGVMky8ZKWsAwZ) After a zero-budget music video filmed on a Ring doorbell camera shot her debut single **‘lego’ **into unparalleled levels of virality last year, 16-year-old **Maple’s Pet Dinosaur **has had a meteoric rise. From her third ever show at **SXSW** Sydney to becoming the youngest artist ever to play Australia’s premier alternative festival **Good Things** - sharing stages with heavyweights like **Tool** and **Weezer** - Maple’s Pet Dinosaur has quickly built a reputation as a must-see live act.
