Summer 2026 is kicking into gear, unleashing a wave of free, world-class electronic performances right in the heart of Brisbane.   
   
Introducing **Southwave: Summer Electronic Series**, a program of free events across **January and February 2026 **that’s set to bring an influx of internationally renowned electronic artists to the River City, alongside some of Australia’s freshest local talent.    
  
Presented by South Bank, Double Agency and The Tivoli Group, Southwave: Summer Electronic Series will take over **South Bank’s Rainforest Green**, creating a lush and tropical sonic retreat in the heart of one of Brisbane most iconic locations.   

Across nine summer nights, Southwave will transform Rainforest Green into an open-air dancefloor – a pop-up venue pulsing with feel-good energy and the laid-back, welcoming vibe that Queensland is renowned for.

Southwave has partnered with some of Australia’s most trusted music promoters to create exquisitely soundtracked riverside afternoons that slide into deeper twilight sets. Plus, there’s pop-up bars, delicious food and more. Get ready to dance with…

**Maribou State** will bring their warm, genre-blurring electronic sound to Brisbane with soulful, melody-rich DJ sets perfect for open-air summer nights, while French multi-instrumentalist **Folamour** will serve up the sunny, groove-driven energy that has made him a global festival favourite, blending soul, funk, disco, afrobeat and pop.  

Blending 90s rave style with sharp pop influence, **Rose Gray** delivers glamorous, high-energy sets that fuse breaks, trance, and her powerful vocals, while Swedish producer **DJ Seinfeld **brings the emotional, club-ready sound of his acclaimed album Mirrors, a record that sharpens his once lo-fi style without losing the raw emotion that first defined his work, spanning house, garage, and breaks with top-notch production and deep feeling.   
   
Swiss house legend** Jimi Jules **blends jazz-trained musicianship with his Swiss–Caribbean roots to create soulful, left-of-centre club music. His sets channel deep, expressive grooves shaped by years on the Zürich circuit. **Bimini** is a new cultural icon whose breakout fame on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK propelled them into global acclaim. Their sound blends fierce, late-night club energy with an innate sense of style and performance. And with a sound that spans high-octane house and techno, **ABSOLUTE.**has become one of the UK’s most exciting dance music figures; he brings explosive, unapologetic energy to dancefloors worldwide. 

**Southwave: Summer Electronic Series **is curated by The Tivoli Group, the team behind The Tivoli, The Princess Theatre and Open Season who also contribute music programming to MELT, Brisbane Festival and Valley Fiesta. Southwave will coincide with and complement the inaugural **On the Banks **live music series at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt, bringing music to the heart of Brisbane right across the summer and beyond!

**Entry to Southwave: **  
Entry into the main event site is free, but [registrations are essential](https://scrabblepr.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=4794fdce89f5a4d847d12131f&id=4e42f0487a&e=516daed6c2). While registering your attendance doesn’t guarantee entry, it will help organisers monitor interest in each event and keep everyone up to date with set times and any important event information (like wet weather). If an event reaches capacity, guests will be admitted on a ‘one out – one in’ basis.
