KT Tunstall will return to Australia and New Zealand in May 2026 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her groundbreaking multi-million-selling debut album, “Eye To The Telescope“.

KT’s band will comprise of Jackie Barnes on drums – Jimmy Barnes’ son who is one of the most famous musicians in Australia (and a fellow Scot!). Along with Australian singer/songwriter artist Kathleen Halloran on guitar and US bassist tour-de force Joel Gottschalk.

Adding that something extra to these incredible shows, Adelaide trio, Germein Sisters, have now been confirmed as Special Guests on all Australian dates.

Growing up jamming together on their family farm in South Australia, sisters Georgia (guitar, keys), Ella (bass), and Clara Germein (drums) have been turning heads with their unique brand of indie pop songs and signature harmonies. Having toured across the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand & Asia opening for music icons including StingTom JonesThe CorrsRonan KeatingPhil Collins, Olly Murs and playing BST Hyde Park opening for Shania Twain, their energetic and charismatic live show has been described as nothing short of mesmerising.

Taking the lead from strong female artists, Germein Sisters possess the kind of close musical partnership that can only be shared by siblings. Inspired by the vocal harmonies of iconic bands such as Queen and Fleetwood Mac, both whom they have been honoured to appear on the line-up with at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Their single ‘Good For A Girl’ was announced a 3rd place winner in the International Songwriting Competition for Best Unsigned Artist, and Honourable Mention for Best Lyrics, out of 21 000 entries worldwide. ‘Good For A Girl’ touches on the siblings’ personal challenges they’ve faced being an all-female band in today’s music industry. The song’s powerful lyrics are blended with the raw combination of edgy guitar hooks, quirky piano lines and rhythmic vocal percussion – topped off with those haunting sibling harmonies.

Germein Sisters look forward to touring their brand new album across Australia in May 2026 when they open for the incredible KT Tunstall.

KT Tunstall recently supported Train, in a stripped back duo mode, on their huge Australian tour in May of this year and blew everyone away, paving the way for her own headline tour in full band mode next year. The Rock Pit’s review says it all “every song in its own right deserves to be on household playlists. The happiness and joy Tunstall radiates while playing is captivating, there’s is a true art in her craft of songwriting. Tunstall’s energy is simply infectious.

Eye To The Telescope remains an iconic and beloved record that has become a landmark moment of British music in the 2000’s. Released in December 2004, it took over the world with hits like “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See”.

Suddenly I See” became the song of a generation when it was featured during the opening scene of The Devil Wears Prada and led her to win the iconic Ivor Novello Award.

The tracks, “Universe & U” and “Other Side of the World” also found their way into the public consciousness as part of the hugely popular TV series Grey’s Anatomy and helped the album to reach and incredible 4 million sales around the world.

KT Tunstall live on stage is a force. Her shows are electric; loop pedals, powerful vocals and an engaging stage presence that makes everyone in the crowd feel like she is singing directly to them. Her raw, real energy and humour consistently see her receive rave reviews. With universal critical acclaim and a slew of awards, KT has become one of the most respected singer-songwriters of the modern era.

Reflecting on the albums milestone, KT says: “When I made my very first record, Eye To The Telescope, it never crossed my mind where I might be when it turned 20. It was a fantastically scrappy album to make, with very little money and a handful of musician friends. Over the years. I’ve been told the most amazing stories of what these songs mean to people all over the world, how they have kept them company through love and loss, through being lost and getting found. Needless to say, it’s been a beautiful thrill.”

Experience that beautiful thrill when KT tours in May.

Do not miss these special shows.
