CMAT: HOLIDAY SIDEWINDER CONFIRMED AS SPECIAL GUEST ON ANTICIPATED AUSTRALIAN TOUR – JANUARY 2026

Secret Sounds is excited to announce that Irish pop-country sensation CMAT will be joined by Holiday Sidewinder on her hugely anticipated Australian tour in January 2026.
Hailed as a “global pop sensation” (PAPER Mag), “a shining light in the darkness” (LA Record) and “blinding force to be reckoned with” (Purple Sneakers), Holiday Sidewinder will warm up the stage on CMAT’s EURO-COUNTRY tour, hitting Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne at the top of next year.

Fresh off the release of her critically acclaimed album EURO-COUNTRY – which earned multiple ★★★★★ reviews – CMAT continues her unstoppable rise as one of the most exciting live acts in the world right now. Praised by The Guardian, Mojo, Rolling Stone UK and many more, CMAT masterfully blends contradictory themes and moods: wide-eye drama with self-deprecation; the fusion of country and pop, with even more influences stretching across decades and genres.
A relentless touring schedule has cemented CMAT’s reputation as one of the best live performers around – 2025 highlights include Glastonbury, Green Man, Primavera, Pukkelpop, NOS Alive and a UK run supporting Sam Fender. Demand for her Australian shows has been huge, with second Sydney and Melbourne dates added shortly after on-sale and most shows now sold out.

Known for her whip-smart lyricism, genre-blurring production and magnetic stage presence, Holiday Sidewinder has carved her own lane in modern pop. Her 2019 debut Forever or Whatever introduced a bold, shimmering world of synth-driven, late-night disco anthems, drawing comparisons to Prince, Debbie Harry and Madonna.
In 2021, she joined forces with Empire of the Sun/PNAU’s Nick Littlemore and Grammy-winning composer Billy Jay Stein for Face of God, praised by NME as “Pink Floyd’s Atom Heart Mother for the streaming generation” and by The Guardian as “a heady blend of The Flaming Lips’ life-affirming psychedelia and Kate Bush’s sweeping pastoral pop”.
2022’s The Last Resort – a tropical cocktail of reggae, rock, sophistipop, glam-metal guitars, rave and disco – transported listeners to a mythical island paradise turned dystopia, earning critical acclaim for its cinematic scope and escapist flair.
Now, she kicks off a new era with an electrifying EP featuring “Die Hard” (Produced by Bag Raiders), “Boys Will Be Toys” and “Unrelatable”- a fearless, playful, high-voltage collection that proves Holiday Sidewinder remains one step ahead of the pop curve. She recently wrapped a US support run with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and now she’s set her signs on CMAT’s Australian dates.
