THE BEND CLASSIC 2025: HOMECOMING QUEEN KASEY CHAMBERS TO HEADLINE SA’S CELEBRATION OF AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY MUSIC

South Australia’s biggest country music festival,The Bend Classic, has announced the return of its Homecoming Queen. That’s right, none other than Australian country music icon Kasey Chambers is back for 2025.

The full program for The Bend Classic is now live with all the details of this ultimate three-day celebration of cars, country, and camping from October 24-26 at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park.

Following the release of her #1 her album, Backbone, and a sold-out national tour Kasey returns to the Saturday night line-up and she simply cannot wait.

“I’m looking forward to hitching up the caravan and heading back to one of my favourite gigs to play in South Australia – THE BEND CLASSIC,” says Kasey. “I can’t wait to play all my old favourites to the country music fans from all over my home state who come together for this great event. See ya there!”

This year The Bend Classic is teaming up with the South Australian Music Development Office to host a hotlist of emerging local country artists, providing them with a launchpad to wider audiences. These featured artists include The Flying Squad, Nancy Bates, Scott Rathman Jnr and Brad Chicken & The Bootstraps, all of whom have new releases out now.

“The Flying Squad are more revved up than a chainsaw cutting through Mallee to announce we’ll be tearing it up alongside country and rock’n’roll royalty at The Bend Classic,” says vocalist/guitarist, Tris Beaumont.

“Line-ups as good as this one don’t happen every weekend, so you’d better believe we’re packing every ounce of chaos and charm. October can’t come quick enough, so dust off your dancing boots, grab your favourite stubbie holder and make some noise with The Flying Squad. See ya trackside!”

“The Malinauskas Government is proud to support The Bend Classic to provide an opportunity for some of our state’s emerging country musicians to take to the stage and perform in front of thousands of people alongside legendary Australian country artists like Kasey Chambers and Casey Barnes at this event. The Bend Classic demonstrates perfectly how arts and culture go hand in hand with major sporting events, it’s going to be an extraordinary weekend.”
