Wicked Things: The Wicked 80s

February 17, 2025

Review by Patrick Brown – Performance date: Sunday 16 February 2025, Gluttony, Adelaide, South Australia

A Rock Spectacle that brings the 80s back to the future!

I had the pleasure of experiencing Wicked 80s, and let me tell you – these four incredibly talented blood brothers from Sydney set the stage on fire! Delivering powerhouse performances of rock anthems from the 80s, they took the audience on an electrifying journey through the greatest hits of Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses, INXS, and more, while also showcasing a brilliant original song that proved their own music is just as compelling.

At the heart of it all is charismatic frontman Kaleb, whose dynamic energy and effortless interaction with both the band and the audience ensure there’s never a dull moment. The ‘Hills’ brothers KNOW their worth. With Cooper on drums, and twins Gericho and Blade on guitar (their battle was EPIC)… These guys can do know wrong. They are cheeky, they are flirty, they are animals on stage AND they are brilliant.

The Gunners ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ seemed effortless, INXS’ ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ breathed new life and Jovi’s ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’ exceptional. The set list was magnificent. It wasn’t until we heard their self-penned ‘Venomous’ that we really understood the talent of this band. Melding the past with the now, these guys KNOW rock music.

Their tight, polished sound, combined with their raw passion for rock, creates an unforgettable live experience that keeps the crowd engaged from start to finish. Wicked 80s isn’t just a cover band – they’re a must-see act that breathes new life into classic rock while proving they have the talent to carve out their own legacy. With this level of skill and showmanship, I have no doubt a bright future awaits these young rockers.

Brace yourself, this band is set to explode and it WILL be with loud and with sexy, spunky fireworks on charisma steriods.

If you love high-energy, nostalgia-fueled rock ‘n’ roll, don’t miss Wicked Things with The Wicked 80s!
