Wicked Things Set the Garden of Unearthly Delights Ablaze
Ladies and gentlemen, gather ’round as I spill the tea on last night’s spectacle at the Gluttony’s Sneak Peak Weekend. Wicked Things took to the stage, and oh honey, did they serve a performance hotter than a jalapeño in the Adelaide sun (Adelaide was the HOTTEST place on Earth last Wednesday remember).
Meet Wicked Things
Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Wicked Things is a powerhouse rock band made up of four brothers – Kaleb, Cooper, Blade, and Gericho Hills. These guys were practically raised on rock ‘n’ roll, and it shows. Growing up, they spent countless hours jamming together, honing a sound that fuses old-school grit with modern energy. Their fearless approach to music even led them to quit their day jobs and embark on a relentless European tour, proving that they’re not just in this for fun – they’re in it to dominate.

A Night of Pure, Unfiltered Rock
From the moment they strutted onto the stage, it was clear: this was no ordinary pub rock band gig. This was a full-fledged sonic experience. The energy? Electric. The charisma? Absolutely magnetic. Wicked Things didn’t just play their instruments – they wielded them like weapons of mass entertainment, bending sound and rhythm to their will like true musical sorcerers.
At the forefront was Kaleb, the lead singer, commanding the stage with raw prowess, untamed vocals and the kind of swagger that would make even the most seasoned rockstars jealous. And let’s be honest – this whole band looks like they were genetically engineered to be rock gods.
Their covers weren’t just note-for-note renditions; they were reinventions, infused with their signature style. Just when the crowd thought they had them figured out, they dropped an original track, Oh Yeah, and the audience roared in approval. It was the kind of moment that solidifies a band as more than just a tribute to rock’s past – they’re its future.
The Magic Behind the Scenes
Of course, no legendary performance is complete without the unsung heroes of the night – the tech crew. The lighting was mesmerizing, shifting with the ebb and flow of the music to create a fully immersive experience. The sound? Crystal clear, perfectly balanced, and powerful enough to send shivers down your spine. It’s a testament to the symbiotic relationship between artist and crew, and last night, it was nothing short of perfection.
Even with a light ‘bass issue’ mid-show, the boys supported each other and with no tantrums they carried on and got through in a slick manner that showed the professionalism of the brothers of blood and in music. Credit.

The Set-List?
Well, we heard it all. From Bon Jovi to the Gunners AND Australian music beacons INXS we got served a LOT. In for good measure was a Wicked original too, ‘Oh Yeah’, which went down a treat! These lads KNOW how to create set list. Kudos.
Missed It? Here’s Your Redemption Arc
If you weren’t lucky enough to witness this spectacle firsthand, don’t panic just yet. Wicked Things will be tearing up the Gluttony stage again tonight and tomorrow (Sat 15 & Sun 16 February 2025). Do yourself a glorious favour – clear your schedule, grab a ticket, and prepare to have your mind blown. Trust me, this is not a performance you want to miss.
The Future of Rock is in Safe Hands
In a world where manufactured pop reigns supreme, Wicked Things stand tall as a beacon of raw, unfiltered talent. They are more than just a band; they are a revelation. And after last night’s show, one thing is crystal clear: the future of rock is in very, very good hands.
So, Adelaide, are you ready to witness greatness? Because Wicked Things are here, and they’re taking no prisoners.
