Patrizio Buanne’s 2025 Adelaide concert unfolded on stage like a joyfully lit night stroll through decades of romance, memory, reinvention and fun. The second he appeared, he brought a presence that felt both warm, worldly and deeply grounded, a performer completely at ease in his craft yet still hungry to offer something fresh. The Adelaide Entertainment Centre theatre was the perfect vessel for his sound – smooth, resonant and intimate enough that every lift in his voice landed on the audience with intention. He eased the crowd in with the classics that shaped his early global rise, those velvety tunes that carry the DNA of Italian tradition, but he never treated them like museum pieces. Instead, he delivered them with new colour and emotional depth, as though he’d lived with these songs long enough to discover new truths inside them. Celebrating his 20the Anniversary of his illustrious career. Buanne was BACK!

As the night broadened, so did his palette. His newer NapoLatino direction added a modern Mediterranean pulse, giving Adelaide a sense of where he’s heading rather than simply not just where he has come from. Those tracks shimmered with sun-kissed rhythm and a contemporary confidence, showing he’s not an artist trading on nostalgia alone but one actively pushing into the next chapter. His banter between songs was loose, easy, charming and self-aware, building an intimacy that made the room feel more like a gathering of old friends than a traditional concert. He spoke about milestones, family, artistry and the unexpected detours of life on the road, framing the music in a way that strengthened its emotional weight.

The band was tight and supported Patrizio impeccably. The sound they created gave air to the room and created the perfect platform for their leading man up front. The set-list dazzled with the standards, the classics, some originals and an amazing interpretation of Robbie William’s ‘Angels’. BUT, ‘Forever Begins Tonight’ was a highlight, walking through the audience (“Just don’t squeeze the banana!”), showed how up close and personal this artist likes to be with his fans. Giving roses, hand-shakes and hugs as he went along. He is loved.

Silvia Colloca’s special guest appearance brought an elevated elegance to the night. Silvia can cook and she can act, heck yeah, BUT, sing wooooah! Her tone wrapped around his like fine silk, adding a graceful counterpoint that expanded the emotional reach of the set. Their duets felt cinematic – two artists from shared cultural soil weaving voices that carried both history and spark. Patrizio’s band, followed along effortlessly without being rigid, keeping the energy fluid and dynamic, allowing the artist to shift between reflective crooner, charismatic storyteller and modern romantic with ease.

Patrizio is a showman, cheeky, charismatic and loves his work. That is evident. His characterisations of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis show he is also very funny. Adding to that, his ability to also play the piano and the electric guitar show this guy is an all-rounder. His talent is diverse and very honed. He is a master entertainer that delivers the goods in fabulous abundance. A shout-out to his new fashion direction too, more relaxed, more contemporary, more cosmopolitan with all the same signature savvy appeal.

By the time the final notes drifted out, Adelaide had experienced much more than a performance. It felt like an artist honouring his twenty-year journey while opening the door to what’s next. Patrizio left the stage with the same understated charm he arrived with, but the crowd carried something fuller – a warmth, a glow, a reminder of the power of music that leans into emotion without apology. The evening proved why he continues to resonate across continents and generations: he sings with heart, he performs with soul, and he connects with audiences as if every show matters. In Adelaide, it absolutely did.

Bravo.
