**ALBUM TOUR SET FOR OCTOBER/NOVEMBER**

**SYDNEY, October 17, 2025**: Beloved Sydney band **Youth Group** have today released their new single ***‘Saturday Dad’***, another taste of their forthcoming new album ***‘Big Whoop’*** out soon on October 31.  The band are also commencing a run of headline shows from the same date to November 8.  

The new track is a slice of dreamy indie that exhibits founding member, singer, guitarist and songwriter Toby Martin’s special talent for observing the lives of the characters around him. 

Toby explains, *“For this album, Cam and I spent quite a few evenings sitting around his kitchen table nutting out songs together.  This is one of the ones that came from Cam’s table. It was a riff and a melody and a chorus he had, and then I wrote a verse lyric for. It is a microdrama about modern parenting, undercut by a sweet, swinging shuffle.”*

Combining the familiar Youth Group magic with some new explorations into a more dance-rock feel, the record is a fresh approach for Youth Group and some say, their best album yet. Impressed Recordings is releasing the record in conjunction with Cassell Records.* *

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of their recording of ‘*Forever Young’,* which went on to become Australia’s first number 1 single on the ARIA Digital Singles Chart.
