Ukelele Death Squad Unleash New Double Single ‘The Curse Of The Nipple Tape’ And Announce National Tour
Australia’s most outrageous and genre-defying ukulele collective, Ukulele Death Squad, return this summer with a brand-new live a cappella double single release,The Curse of the Nipple Tape and Australian tour not to be missed.
Recorded entirely live in studio and delivered with the group’s trademark theatricality, razor-sharp harmonies and mischievous humour, The Curse of the Nipple Tape,”captures the Squad at their most unhinged and unstoppable, stripping everything back to raw performance and gloriously unwholesome storytelling.

The double single featuring two live a cappella tracks, “Fuck The Man” and “Lowlands Away“,was recorded with the immediacy, spontaneity and musical interplay that has made the band a word-of-mouth sensation. Across both recordings, audiences can expect lush harmonies, comedic chaos, storytelling theatrics and emotional sincerity that lands when least expected. Links, media assets and video content will be shared later this week.
Stream: ‘Fuck The Man‘ and ‘Lowlands Away‘
The release also marks the beginning of a major 2025 tour, kicking off in February and travelling through New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia for Adelaide Fringe, and Central Australia, with more announcements ahead.
The tour will feature a full day of appearances at the 2026 Adelaide Fringe, including a one-day-only Sea Shanty Special, where the Ukulele Death Squad transform into unhinged musical pirates aboard the iconic Popeye river boat.
Armed with ukuleles, brass and questionable fashion choices, they will lead a riotous singalong of sea shanties, pirate ballads and original tunes. Expect sax solos, scandalous surprises and full audience participation. The intimate river cruise promises nautical nonsense, heartfelt storytelling and a rare chance to unleash your inner pirate.
This special day of sea shanty shows will take place on Saturday 28 February, with sailings at 11am and 12.15pm, before the Squad head to Port Adelaide’s, Milledges that evening for a their famed club show.
Ukulele Death Squad
Ukulele Death Squad are not your average ukulele ensemble—they are eight musicians, maniacs and misfits, wielding the smallest stringed instrument in the world as both a weapon of chaos and an invitation to surrender inhibition. Their shows are equal parts musical odyssey, theatre, ritual and late-night fever dream.
What happens when a classically trained Brazilian guitarist picks up a ukulele? When a saxophonist is forced to play drums and spontaneously grows another limb out of spite? When three of Adelaide’s most commanding and raunchy vocalists decide that sharing one stage is the only sensible option? This is Ukulele Death Squad.
From humble beginnings at Adelaide Fringe, the group has evolved into a cult touring phenomenon—seducing audiences across Australia, Europe and beyond with dark humour, jaw-dropping vocal dynamics, sea-shanty singalongs, bizarre sax solos and ballads that stop hearts mid-air. See them once and prepare to abandon reason, loosen the reins and unlock the boldest and silliest version of yourself for one unforgettable night.
