**The Script** today embrace the start of a new era as they release their new album **‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’**. The record represents the next chapter in **The Script’s** enduring story, having previously achieved **six UK #1 **albums and **eight **back home in**Ireland **- in the process amassing **14 billion **streams, **5 million**album sales, and countless international** Platinum** certifications led by two **US Platinum** singles and two **US Top 10** albums.

**‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’** comes from **Danny O’Donoghue’s **deep passion for using words and music to express emotions that might otherwise go unspoken. As AI takes off, it’s a record fuelled by human connection with heartfelt themes covering love, friendship, addiction, the power of community and staying true to your beliefs regardless of any criticism that comes your way. It’s also an album in which the spirit of **Danny’s **much-missed bandmate** Mark Sheehan** feels present, especially within its biggest, most bombastic moments such as **‘Stars Align’ **and** ‘After We’re Gone’**.

Anticipation for the record mounted following its two lead singles that have both been playlisted at UK Radio 2. The hard-hitting, mega-catchy** ‘Man In The Arena’ **and a new fan favourite **‘The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall’, ** a towering ode to nostalgia as a superpower that was inspired by the stadium-sized communal joy that gripped the world during **Oasis’s Live ’25** tour.

The title comes from** Danny’s **time working on the album in** Los Angeles**. He saw driverless taxis,** Tesla Silver Bullets** and robots delivering food – but having to veer round homeless people on the sidewalk. As with the broader album, the title is a timely reminder of the importance of real, shared in-life experiences in an era in which virtual artifice and automation dominate culture and conversation.

He says,* “We're inundated with new stuff coming in, and the future feels like it’s already here, but there are still people struggling to survive. And then, I heard a song the other day with me singing. But it’s not even me! Someone created a ‘Script-type’ song on AI. If we can't be creative, and if nature and all these different, real things aren't part of our daily process, what the fuck are we? So we ended up writing ‘The User’s Guide to Being Human’ as a song to remind ourselves of what it is to be human.”*

**The Script **have previewed the album with an innovative series of microdramas, which have proven to be an engaging alternative to the traditional music video. Its characters include a young couple meeting for the first time; the same couple depicted decades later, now married and reflecting on how they got together; a pregnant woman and her partner sheltering from the rain; a pub manager trying his best when business is slow; and a homeless man haunted by his past who is helped by a paramedic.

Today sees those microdramas edited together into an ambitious short film, which was directed by **Charles Mehling**. Collectively they form a microcosm of society with an interconnected narrative which captures the essence of the album, its story focused on a crowd gathering in a pub as a biblical storm approaches. It also features band performance as well as interview footage with **Danny** as he shares the story behind the album and pays tribute to **Mark**.
