# Sarcator charts darker territory with "In Search Of Oblivion"

Swedish metal band Sarcator has released a video clip for "In Search Of Oblivion," the second single from their fourth studio album The Ones We Follow (due October 30, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music). The track showcases a more melodic and atmospheric evolution in the band's sound, blending haunting melodies and cinematic tension with influences ranging from Danzig and 90s Metallica to Sisters of Mercy.

Swedish metal force **SARCATOR** has released a video clip for their new single **“In Search Of Oblivion,”** offering another glimpse into their much-awaited fourth studio album,***The Ones We Follow***, due** October 30, 2026** via **Reigning Phoenix Music**. Following the album’s title track, the new single reveals a more melodic and atmospheric side of the band’s evolving sound.

Dark, hypnotic and deeply introspective, **“In Search Of Oblivion”** explores obsession, self-destruction and transformation. Built around haunting melodies, massive hooks and cinematic tension, the track showcases **SARCATOR**'s evolution beyond extreme metal into darker and more atmospheric territory.

*“This would be the power-ballad of the record. Guitar work very inspired by Danzig-ballads and drumming and groove by 90s / Bob Rock era Metallica. Some soft passages in this gives it more of a Sisters of Mercy / The Cure type of vibe. The words in this song is there to give the listener a sense of empowerment, like an Arena Rock-song should do. The fun thing about this song is that it's the only song on the record that was intentionally made to be a pompous and bombastic Metal song, but also the most ”ballad” sounding song simultaneously.”*
