# Kat Wilder breaks the rules with Running Wild

Kat Wilder, former frontwoman of power metal band Horizons Edge, releases her third solo single Running Wild, a heavy metal track about rejecting societal convention. The Melbourne vocalist has worked with legendary vocalist Ralf Scheepers and is developing material for her debut solo album.

Delivering another slab full of downpicking fury, twisting riffs and soaring vocals, Running Wild is pure unadulterated heavy metal.

Kat says she has "*never fit in with mainstream society and I've always been a bit of an outcast living my own life...I always questioned everything about how we were taught to live...Running Wild is about breaking the rules of society and living life the way you want."*

Previously fronting power metal outfit **Horizons Edge**, Kat built a solid reputation across three studio albums and national touring, sharing stages with the likes of Helloween, Ross The Boss and Primal Fear. Their final release, *Let The Show Go On*, spent ten weeks in the German Rock and Metal charts, a strong sign that the reach extended well beyond Australia.

Now working towards her debut solo album, Kat shifts into a more direct and personal lane. The voice is still as powerful as ever, but there’s a sharper focus behind it, both musically and lyrically.

Having trained under and worked in the studio with the legendary Ralf Scheepers, Kat brings a level of control and experience that sits comfortably alongside that raw edge.
