# iOTA returns with Hours Disappear after a decade away

iOTA releases Hours Disappear on September 25, his first album in a decade, featuring re-recorded versions of songs from his ARIA-nominated 1995 debut The Hipbone Connection alongside new material. The self-produced album showcases stripped-back acoustic arrangements across nine tracks including 'Silver Train', 'River', and reimagined classics 'Home', 'Bitter Wine', and 'Come Back For Me'.

Ten years after the release of his last album *Wolf Number Nine*, **iOTA **returns with *Hours Disappear, *his long-awaited **seventh album** - a deeply personal collection of songs that invites the listener to slow down, step away from the noise, and disappear into the music.

Atmospheric, ethereal and organic, *Hours Disappear* creates a world of its own.  With its earthy textures, intimate performances, and spacious arrangements, the album allows the songs to breathe, drawing the listener in and gently carrying them somewhere else.

It is an album of contrasts. Light meets dark, melancholy meets hope, and moments of introspection sit alongside warmth, positivity, and a sense of renewal. 

The album also takes iOTA back to where it all began.

His successful ARIA-nominated debut album, *The Hipbone Connection*, is no longer available, but its songs have continued to resonate with listeners. With *Hours Disappear*, iOTA revisits a handful of those early songs, re-recording them in acoustic mode and giving them new life - as heard recently with fresh versions of his classics **‘Home’**, **‘Bitter Wine’, **&  **‘Come Back For Me’, **as well as **'Cool' **and **'Time'**.   Alongside these reimagined favourites comes new material, including the mesmerising **‘Silver Train’, 'River', ‘Same Three Words’ **and more - opening a new chapter in iOTA’s songwriting.

Self-produced, *Hours Disappear* has an unmistakably intimate quality. Rather than overworking the songs, iOTA allows space for atmosphere, texture and emotion to unfold. The result is warm and earthy - a record that feels both grounded and expansive - and a new collection of songs to get lost in.
