MELBOURNE’S CULT FAVOURITES GRIM RHYTHM RE-EMERGE WITH FOREVER EATING SHIT
PREORDERS LIVE NOW | ALBUM OUT MARCH 11

Eight years after the release of their debut LP, Melbourne’s cult favourites Grim Rhythm resurface with a brand new single, Forever Eating Shit – the first taste of their upcoming album of the same name.
The track captures everything that loyal followers have whispered about in bandrooms for over a decade and kicks off a new era that’s been a damn long time coming. Album preorders are live, with the full release landing March 11 via Suspect Records.
If you’ve seen Grim Rhythm level a packed bandroom or heard their name passed on by someone who knows what’s what, you already get it. If you haven’t, Forever Eating Shit is your entry point into a world that’s always sat just outside the mainstream – stubbornly self-made, loud as hell, and driven by players who treat riffs like currency.
The album title might sound funny, but the intent behind it isn’t for laughs. It sums up years of grinding away in a scene that rarely rewards sticking to your own lane. Grim Rhythm have never chased trends or softened their sound; they’ve kept their heads down and pushed their craft with the kind of focus that only comes from doing it for the right reasons.

Their 2017 LP What Do You Know About Rock’n’Roll landed harder than expected, proving the trio could channel their intensity straight onto tape. Filthy riffs, tight stops, long drum breaks and controlled chaos became their calling card. It was the sort of music that travelled person to person: no social media, no marketing, just fans telling others, trust me, listen to this, go see this band.
Their return to the stage in 2024 reignited everything. Two headline east coast tours with more than ten dates each, festival slots, international supports, and tiny local front bars made it obvious they’d never truly been gone.
That momentum carries straight into the new LP. Recorded, engineered, produced, mixed and mastered entirely by the band’s guitarist Tim Maxwell’s Wrangler Studios, Forever Eating Shit is completely independent and is set for release on their own label, Suspect Records.
Grim Rhythm aren’t reinventing themselves. They’re doubling down on what made them a cult favourite in the first place.
Preorders live now. Album out March 11.
