Forever Ends Here Return Renewed On I’m Still Trying To Find Myself EP Out Now

“[‘About It’ is] the best song you have ever made” – Nic Kelly, The Hot Hits

Forever Ends Here have returned with their introspective yet future-focused EP I’m Still Trying To Find Myselfout now. Listen HERE.

While their rich history as one of the country’s most loved pop punk bands of the 2010s remains an important part of their story together, Luke, Kane, and Maverick are ready to turn the page on a new chapter with this record. “It’s a nostalgic homage to the 15 year old kids that started this band 14 years ago, but more importantly a declaration of where we’re heading,” says frontman Luke McChesney.

I’m Still Trying To Find Myself is a refreshing take on pop-infused rock and punk, from the radio-ready ‘About It’ – which debuted on The Hot Hits with Nic & Loren followed by airplay on triple j and triple j Unearthed – to melodic and reflective heartwrencher ‘Forehead’. Nostalgia still runs through its veins though, with ‘Unspoken’ and ‘Mrs Blue Sky’ blending classic pop punk melodies with clean production and singalong-worthy vocal hooks. Above all, there is a sincere thread of self-awareness and emotional honesty woven throughout the EP, introduced by the opening line “I’m trying to find myself” on ‘About It’, and resolved in the closing track ‘I’m Still Trying To Find Myself’.

“It’s by far the most raw and honest thing we’ve ever put into the world and it feels good to release something a little more introspective,” says Luke. “Each song is a reflection of the relationships I’ve built since starting the band many years ago, not just with partners and friends but with myself too. The highs, the lows and the uncertain times. The world tells us we need to have our shit together and know exactly who we are, but I think, realistically, we’re all still trying to figure that out with every passing day.

“‘I’m Still Trying to Find Myself’ has been a piece of me for so long, but now it’s for everybody else. We hope you love it as much as we do.”

The record was written between Sydney and LA, and was produced by Craig Wilkinson (RedHook), mixed by James Paul Wisner (Paramore / Stand Atlantic), and mastered by Grant Berry (Waterparks / All Time Low / PVRIS).

More announcements are set to follow into the new year, as Forever Ends Here look to the future.

About Forever Ends Here

Friendship remains the fuel behind Forever Ends Here, with the Sydney/Melbourne trio reforming just in time to soundtrack pop rock’s high-energy renaissance.

Since returning with new music in 2024, Luke McChesney (vocals/guitar), Maverick Burnett (bass), and Kane McChesney (drums) have quickly cemented their status as fan-favourites; new singles capturing the attention of global tastemakers, including Spotify, triple j, and Kerrang! magazine.

Forever Ends Here have wasted little time building on the legacy they established across 2011-2018, having originally disbanded to grow and develop as creative professionals. As a result, they return more driven than ever, honing in on organic fan growth.

As well as social media momentum, the three-piece have sharpened their live show; previously sharing stages with the likes of Simple Plan (US), 5 Seconds Of Summer (AU), Yours Truly (AU), State Champs (US), Neck Deep (UK), and Short Stack (AU).

Poised to release their new EP this spring, the band have collaborated with Craig Wilkinson (RedHook), James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Stand Atlantic), Grant Berry (Waterparks, All Time Low, PVRIS), and Kyle Reith (Jonas Brothers) to produce what’s undoubtedly their most accomplished work to date.
