Dingo returns with new single ‘The Payphone’ (featuring Jenny Mitchell) – OUT TODAY
Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Dingo continues to build momentum following the release of his free-spirited track Nightwire. With a new album slated for release mid-2026, Dingo returns with The Payphone, duetting with award-winning songwriter Jenny Mitchell. Blending Dingo’s warm, road-worn sound with Mitchell’s expressive vocals, the single expands the emotional range of his upcoming project.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Dingo shares: “The first time I heard Jenny’s heartfelt songs and stunning voice, I was captured. I had the honour of playing her songs on over 30 shows across Australia for the Kasey Chambers’ Backbone Tour. It feels like it makes sense to ask her to join me for a duet of ‘The Payphone’. It’s a dream come true for me to have such a beautiful singer and friend join me on one of the favourite songs I’ve ever written.”
Dingo is already familiar to many music fans as the long-time guitarist in Kasey Chambers’ band, where his distinctive blended guitar style has become part of her signature live sound. He also fronted the high-energy roots duo Grizzlee Train, winners of the 2015 Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking Competition – further cementing his reputation as one of the country’s most versatile and soulful players.
Dingo’s new single The Payphone (featuring Jenny Mitchell) is out now on all streaming platforms via MGM Distribution.

ABOUT DINGO:
From dirty electric blues, story-filled country, and alt-rock riffs, to beautiful folky fingerpicking, Dingo’s versatility has taken him across stages all over the world for the last decade. Between tours with Kasey Chambers, he’s opened for legends like Ian Moss and Americana icon Patty Griffin. Now, he’s stepping forward with his own songs — ready to bring his voice and band to the spotlight.
When he’s not on tour, Dingo is a sought-after producer and engineer, running the show at The Rabbit Hole Recording Studio on the Central Coast, NSW. There, he works closely with artists like Mitchell Steele, Faith Williams, Owen Campbell, Beccy Cole, and Kasey Chambers, helping shape their music in both engineering and co-production roles.
Beyond music, Dingo has spent the past several years supporting Our Rainbow House, a small school near Lusaka, Zambia. In 2019, he travelled with a portable studio to help co-write and record an EP with the students and Kasey, raising funds for the school. He continues to return regularly — teaching guitar, songwriting, and sharing the joy of music with the kids.
