NEW SINGLE ‘SHIT MAGNET’ OUT NOW

Beloved singer songwriter Beccy Cole (OAM) has released her much-anticipated 9thstudio album ‘Through The Haze’ via ABC Music.

Having entertained audiences for over 30 years, the record is her first solo album in 7 years with the 13-track release also available on vinyl from March 27.

Beccy expressed, “Through The Haze definitely has an element of diary entry style songwriting, there are certainly songs that explore my marriage breakup (and breakdown) and samples of the lessons learned through therapy and sometimes sweetened with the humour that has somewhat driven me throughout most of my life”.

“The album is not just about heartbreak and divorce though, I like to think there’s more positivity on this record than deep sadness. I’ve worked on myself more in the last four years than ever before and I’ve cracked some pretty important mysteries about who I am, I actually feel the most free and content I’ve ever felt. I discovered a level of strength and resilience I didn’t know I had and I felt it infiltrating the songwriting more than before, it actually makes tapping into past fragility quite painless!”

Recorded on the NSW Central Coast, produced by Brandon Dodd of Dingo Music Productions and The Sisters of Twang including Julz Parker, Leesa Gentz, Ali Foster (and Beccy), the album was mixed by Matt Fell and mastered by Jeff McCormack.

The record opens with her new single and live fan favourite, ‘Shit Magnet’ and as Beccy explains, “Essentially, this song is about being able to laugh at myself. I am a shit magnet, no doubt about it!… This one is so fun to do live, and the merch is very popular. It seems like many others can relate to being a shit magnet as well!”.  Also featured are previous singles ‘The Gardener & The Flower’, which likens love and partnership to tending a garden — nurturing a relationship over time, plus ‘More Cows Than Cowgirls’, which Beccy describes as “a tongue-in-cheek reflection on the long line of ravaged roadkill laying on the side of the highway of my life…” and the 20th anniversary version of her #1 country track and signature single ‘Poster Girl’ released for Anzac Day 2025 are also included.

Tickets are on sale now for special album launch shows in NSW with Beccy’s band The Sisters of Twang. The performances are scheduled for May 7 at the Lazybones Lounge in Sydney, May 8 at the Full Throttle Ranch in Buttai, Newcastle and May 9 in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains at The Baroque Room.

Beccy also forms part of the line-up at the Echuca Country Music Festival on March 28 and ‘Barra & Boots’ in Lake Prosperpine, Queensland on May 30.

ABOUT BECCY COLE:

For over 30 years, Beccy Cole has been delighting Australian music fans with her unique brand of true entertainment. The South Australian star’s glowing warmth, husky tones, bawdy sense of humour and hundred-watt smile have helped make her one of the nation’s most loved and celebrated artists.

With eleven Golden Guitars (Country Music Awards of Australia) to her name, Beccy is the most awarded Golden Guitar Female Artist Of The Year recipient, having won the prestigious title 5 times from 2001, 2002, 2007, 2012, and again in 2019.  She also has multiple ARIA Top 10 Country albums, Top 40 mainstream releases, a Top 10 DVD, three gold-certified albums and more than a dozen #1 Australian country singles and stands among Australia’s most successful singer-songwriters.

In 2022, Beccy was inducted into country music’s Roll of Renown at the 50th Golden Guitar Awards, and in June 2023 she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to country music. She remains one of Australia’s most sought-after live performers, renowned for taking audiences to fever pitch — and quite often, stomach-clutching laughter.

In 2022 and 2023, Beccy reunited with longtime collaborator Adam Harvey to record and release The Great Country Songbook Volume III, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Top 20 Australian Country Chart. The 12-track album featured classics including Daytime Friends, To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before, Four Strong Winds and I’ll Leave The Bottle on the Bar,alongside the original A Good Woman Can. Beccy and Adam toured nationally throughout 2022 and 2023.

Beccy’s previous studio album, Lioness (2018), was critically acclaimed — a powerful collection of self-penned songs showcasing her strength, heart and razor-sharp wit. In an Australian first, the album was the album was the only ever 100% female-produced country record, produced by Julz Parker of Hussy Hicks. The album also earned Beccy her 11th Golden Guitar in 2019, her 5th Female Artist of the Year.

A self-confessed ‘gig pig’, Beccy Cole is at her happiest on the road and entertaining Australian audiences. Whether singing in front of [but not for] the American President, entertaining Australian troops in the Middle East or at the RSL of a small rural town, Beccy has always given her all and we imagine, always will!

Beccy Cole is the real deal, a working mother, a comedienne, an author, a passionate supporter of Aussie Rules Football and as honest, funny and genuine in real life as she comes across on stage. Her ability to laugh at herself and write her songs and tell her stories with such brazen truth is refreshing and most of all, entertaining.

Beccy Cole will support the release of Through The Haze with a selection of tour dates and festival appearances across Australia in 2026.  National ‘Through The Haze’ album tour dates coming soon.
