63 DELUXE: Adelaide Blues Trio Return With New Album Side Ways
To Be Released On February 25

Adelaide modern blues trio 63 Deluxe are set to release their second full-length album, Side Ways, on Wednesday, February 25. Featuring 12 all new tracks Side Ways finds the band digging deeper into groove, feel and songwriting without losing the raw edge that defines their sound.
Featuring of some of Adelaide’s most seasoned players; vocalist/guitarist Anthony Scott, Jack Thomson on drums and Bret Hann on bass, 63 Deluxe have built a reputation on instinct rather than flash. A tight, road-tested unit where blues, soul, funk and rock sit comfortably side by side. Side Ways follows their Nashville-recorded EP Memphis To Nashville, (which peaked at #1 on the ABARAC – Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts), but this time the band kept things closer to home, recording in Adelaide with frontman, Anthony Scott behind the desk.
The shift back to home turf has paid off. Side Ways captures a band more relaxed in its skin and willing to stretch out musically, moving from gritty blues workouts to funk driven grooves and soulful, late-night textures seamlessly.
First single ‘The Fire Inside’, set the tone. A driving, funk-leaning track with plenty of movement, it’s a reminder that while 63 Deluxe may be rooted in the blues, they’re not confined by it. There’s energy here, but also restraint, the sound of experienced musicians playing to the song rather than the spotlight.
With Side Ways, 63 Deluxe continue to carve out their own corner of the Australian blues landscape. unforced, unpretentious and built completely on feel.
Side Ways is released on February 25,
