Following a standout debut performance in 2025, Australia’s newest supergroup MONSTR hits the road in 2026 with The Best of MTV Unplugged — a powerful live tribute to one of music’s most iconic formats.

The MONSTR’s are already starting the year with serious momentum, kicking off 2026 with a full house at the Ocean Grove Hotel on 16 January, setting the tone for what’s shaping up as a massive national run.

“It was one of those nights where you feel everyone singing with you,” says Jason Singh. “You don’t take that for granted – it reminds you why this music matters.”

Featuring Jason Singh (Taxiride), Stu Rudd (The Superjesus), Pete Drummond (Dragon) and Jimi Hocking (The Screaming Jets), the tour reimagines legendary Unplugged moments from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alanis Morissette, Eagles, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart and more.

Spanning festival tents and iconic Australian venues, the tour celebrates the legendary MTV Unplugged catalogue = bringing timeless songs to life with raw performances, dynamic musicianship and the kind of electric chemistry only four seasoned icons can deliver.

“We’re not trying to copy anyone – we’re honouring the moment,” says Stu Rudd.

“Unplugged was always about truth. The song, the feel, the connection. That’s what we’re chasing every night,” says Jimi Hocking.

With MONSTR heading out on the road for a national tour, audiences can expect an immersive live experience that captures the soul of the originals, while injecting the songs with the band’s own passion, personality and power.

“This tour is about stripping it back and letting the songs speak,” says Pete Drummond. “When it’s done right, you can feel every lyric. Every note lands.”
