**MONSKI MOUSE: ADELAIDE-CREATED FAMILY FESTIVAL HIT RETURNS TO SCOTLAND AFTER FOUR SOLD-OUT EDINBURGH SEASONS**

Adelaide performer and producer Monica Corduff-Gonzalez, better known to families around the world as Monski Mouse, will perform locally at Coastal Sounds this June before heading back to Scotland in August with her internationally acclaimed family shows, Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall and Baby Cabaret.

The tour follows four consecutive sold-out seasons for Baby Disco Dance Hall at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and begins at Fringe by the Sea in North Berwick before continuing to Edinburgh, where both productions will appear as part of Assembly Festival’s program at the iconic Palais du Variété Spiegeltent.

Now in its 14th year, Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall was first created in Adelaide in 2012 before going on to tour extensively throughout Australia, the United Kingdom, Asia and beyond. Six years later, Corduff-Gonzalez created Baby Cabaret, which premiered in Brighton, UK, in 2018 with a British cast.

Having lived in London between 2011 and 2018, Corduff-Gonzalez developed strong creative ties to the UK’s festival and family arts sectors, making Britain a regular stop in the international touring life of both productions.

*“Baby Disco was born in Adelaide, but both shows have been shaped by audiences and collaborators across Australia and the UK. To be returning after four sold-out Edinburgh seasons is incredibly exciting. Baby Cabaret had its first season in Brighton, and over the years I’ve built wonderful creative relationships throughout Britain. Returning each year feels like reconnecting with an extended creative family.”*

Created specifically for children aged 0-5 years and their favourite adults, Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall invites families onto the dance floor for an interactive celebration of music, movement, imagination and play.

Meanwhile, Baby Cabaret combines live music, comedy, puppetry and audience participation in a joyous theatrical experience designed to delight children and grown-ups alike.

Over the past 14 years, Monski Mouse has become one of Australia’s most internationally travelled family arts productions, appearing at major festivals and venues including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Southbank Centre London, Adelaide Fringe and touring extensively throughout Australia, China and the United Kingdom.

In Edinburgh, Baby Disco Dance Hall has built a devoted following among local and visiting families alike, selling out four consecutive Fringe seasons and becoming a regular fixture of the city’s family festival calendar.

Corduff-Gonzalez believes family audiences deserve high-quality arts experiences and a meaningful place within festival culture.

*“These are often some of the very first live arts experiences children have. Festivals are places where families come together, where children discover music, theatre and creativity, and where lifelong memories begin.”*

Before departing for Scotland, Corduff-Gonzalez will perform DJ sets as Monski Mouse at Coastal Sounds, a free community music event presented across Adelaide’s coastline.

*“Adelaide has one of the world’s great festival cultures. Adelaide Fringe has been enormously important in my development as an artist and producer, and every time I perform overseas I feel proud to represent the city where this journey began.”*

This August, Corduff-Gonzalez will perform at Fringe by the Sea before heading to Edinburgh, where Baby Disco Dance Hall and Baby Cabaret will once again welcome young families from around the world to one of the world’s largest arts festivals.
