Full Circle Theatre Company, South Australia's first professional music theatre company, opens with Catch Me If You Can, a Tony-nominated Broadway musical adaptation of the Leonardo DiCaprio film about a young con artist. The inspiration and perspiration behind Full Circle Theatre Company - Artistic Director Jo Casson - says seats for the spectacular Tony-nominated Broadway extravaganza are available in Economy, Business Class and First Class.

“No matter where you get on board, I guarantee you will have an awe-inspiring experience as soon as the show takes off,” she said.

“The show is, of course, a musical adaptation of the Hollywood film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. It has all the energy, humour, intrigue and visual dynamism of that version plus an up-beat jazzy score that will have you toe-tapping throughout.”

The all-South Australian cast recently came together for the first time to meet and read through the script.

“The atmosphere that night was electric,” Jo said.

“The first read with a new cast is always exciting, but this being the first production of South Australia’s first professional music theatre company added so much more to the occasion.

“All our artists were so invested, they’d put a lot more preparation in than you’d usually expect ahead of a table read so we could actually see the show coming to life before our eyes.

“To share that experience with so many recent graduates, who now don’t need to jump on a plane to get a break in the industry, plus a few veterans, who until recently wouldn’t have dreamed they could score this sort of role at home, was something I will never, ever forget. 

“It truly brought home everything that Full Circle is about - providing stepping stones at home for young South Australian artists and opportunities for experienced performers who want to work at home.”

Jo says providing local career pathways for artists, creatives and technicians is a major mission of Full Circle, but the company is equally focussed on its audiences.

“South Australians have a huge appetite for musical theatre,” she said.

“Now South Australian audiences have a local company producing world class shows with local talent right here.

“We are determined to make our shows affordable and accessible for everyone. We would love nothing more than people to come and see a musical for the first time and discover what an amazing experience it is."
