World Premiere – Adelaide Fringe 2026

**A new work by Kate Gaul**

Siren Theatre Co presents the world premiere of EDEN, a new play by Kate Gaul, at Adelaide Fringe

Set over one charged summer, the play explores identity, transformation, and the quiet violence of becoming.

**ABOUT THE WORK**

EDEN follows Kit and Dan as their lives hover between past and possibility. Desire, guilt, and the ache for belonging entwine as the pair navigate a landscape where myth blurs the present, and where every step toward self-knowledge carries a cost.

Infused with a distinctive theatrical language, EDEN unfolds as part confession, part elegy, part mystery. As the story deepens, beauty and danger become inseparable, revealing the fragile moment when identity takes shape — and something precious is lost forever.

**Siren Theatre Co** is an independent Sydney-based theatre company commissioning and producing new Australian plays, re-invented classics, and work for young people and families. Siren’s practice is guided by a commitment to strong storytelling, theatricality that could exist in no other medium, and work that is beautiful, rigorous, imaginative, and timely. Telling female-centred stories — and interpreting work through a female-centred lens — is central to Siren’s artistic ethos, alongside supporting adventurous and distinctive artists.
