and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra
One of Australia’s most loved singer-songwriters, Dan Sultan, joins the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the tenth anniversary of his third studio album, Blackbird.
Billed as ‘the simple journey of a man singing about love, desire and identity’, the album set Sultan’s wide-ranging talent as a songwriter and performer at the fore. It was filled with powerhouse riffs met by crackling gospel interludes, rock and roll and soul jams, pure country tones, and bare, aching ballads and harmonies.
With orchestral arrangements from Alex Turley and featuring original artwork from Dan’s longtime collaborator Jarra Karalinar Steel, this triumphant event is ten years in the making.
