‘Cyclops: A Satyr Play’ Crashes Holden Street Theatres for 2026 Adelaide Fringe
Adelaide is officially invited to come and join the afterparty this Fringe with the Australian premiere of Cyclops: A Satyr Play – the ground-breaking solo work by Canadian actor and writer Griffin Hewitt.

Dubbed as the ultimate pop-techno post-party haze, this show is destined to be the underground hit of Adelaide Fringe 2026. Cyclops: A Satyr Play will run in Judy’s, an intimate 30-seat Holden Street Theatres venue from 24 Feb – 22 Mar 2026.
Written and performed by Griffin Hewitt, with original music by Juliette Jones ‘Cyclops: A Satyr Play’ was created during the pandemic allowing audience interaction at a safe distance.
The show is about choices, choices we must make, choices we are
forced to make, choices that affect others – a fun and bold experiment in contemporary interactive theatre.
According to Hewitt, ‘Cyclops: A Satyr Play’ is transgressive, funny, hot, taboo, boundary pushing theatre, while still asking real deep questions about how we live.
“The show is the kind of wild night out that starts off with flashing lights and dancing like nobody’s watching, takes some twists and turns as you realise you didn’t make a plan to get home, and you end up regretting a few major choices along the way – but hey, at least you made some memories right? Or… did you?”, says Hewitt.
“’Cyclops: A Satyr Play’ is a big party, and I can’t wait to bring the show to Adelaide Fringe for its Australian premiere. Everyone is invited to come and play”.
