Most Memorable Adelaide Experience: Watching my first Cirque de Soliel, Saltimbanco in 1999

Can you share a bit about your background and what brought you to Adelaide?

I was working in public health in Pilbara, in far north western WA in 1998 when an opportunity came up for me to work in Adelaide city. I grabbed it. We moved here and put down roots.

What’s your favourite thing about living in Adelaide?

That the city is so accessible and pretty.

If you could only recommend one place to visit in Adelaide, what would it be?

The Torrens River riverbank has such a nice vibe. There’s always people out and about walking and cycling, having a picnic, watching the birds, fishing etc.

What’s a favourite book, movie, or song that resonates with you?

Songs: Chiquitita by ABBA, Gabriel’s Oboe by Enrique Morricone.

What advice would you give to someone looking to explore arts and entertainment in Adelaide?

Go for it!

What’s your favourite event or venue in Adelaide?

The Festival Theatre. Love the boxed seats.

What’s been your most memorable arts experience in Adelaide so far?

Watching Saltimbanco with my friends in 1999 🙂
