Australian Rock Orchestra performs four decades of rock classics across artists including David Bowie, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Genesis, Supertramp, Peter Gabriel and more, adopting the stripped-back staging philosophy of David Byrne's American Utopia. The show runs Saturday 12 September 2026, 8:00pm-10:30pm at Royalty Theatre, 69 Angas Street, Adelaide.

Inspired by the creative mind of David Byrne of Talking Heads and his groundbreaking show 'American Utopia'. His masterpiece highlights the beauty in keeping it simple, yet creating a feast of sight and sound. We have adopted his philosophy by taking a leaf from his book, bringing something truly unique for the Australian stage. Although it's not a tribute of his music, it is a celebration of his unbridled creativity where we’ve adapted it to a long list of classic music from various artists over a four decade span.
