Adelaide’s Carols By Candlelight Set To Sparkle

Star-Studded Lineup Locked in as South Australia Gears Up for Record Crowds at the 2025 St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight

South Australia’s biggest Christmas celebration is set to shine brighter than ever this year, with organisers predicting a crowd of 20,000 to pack Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama for the 81st St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight – now confirmed to feature its most spectacular lineup yet.

With a mild weather forecast and the full artist list officially revealed, Carols by Candlelight is poised for a blockbuster night of festive music, family entertainment and community spirit on Saturday 13 December.

This year’s headline acts bring together local, national and global talent. These include Leo Sayer, Marina Prior, Hugh Sheridan, Emma Memma and her friend BB Butterfly, Amber Lawrence, James Johnston, Jai Laga’aia, Paulini, Taylor Henderson, Marshall Hamburger, Patrizio Buanne, Bonnie Anderson and winner of The Voice Australia 2025, Alyssa Delpopolo.

They’ll be joined by a powerhouse lineup of beloved Adelaide ensembles – including Gospo Collective, Dancers by Donna, Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus, Young Adelaide Voices, and the Adelaide Concert Orchestra – coming together in a spectacular cast of over 200 performers.

Pre-entertainment kicks off from 3:00pm, and audiences are encouraged to head down to Elder Park early to secure a spot and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Families can enjoy MIX102.3’s inflatable soccer pitch, browse craft stalls brimming with handmade treasures and locally made products, and sample a delicious array of food from vendors. Christmas merchandise will also be available, including Carols candles supporting St John – with 10,000 expected to be sold, lighting up Elder Park in a sea of light.

The Experience Adelaide Community Concert begins at 5.00pm, followed by the main Carols concert at 8.30pm, culminating in a spectacular fireworks finale.

As always, the event raises vital funds for St John Ambulance South Australia, supporting first aid services, community training and life-saving programs across the state.

Maree Geraghty from St John Ambulance said: “With our full lineup confirmed, we are ready to deliver the most unforgettable Carols yet. This event brings South Australians together in celebration while supporting the essential work St John provides across the state.”

This year, St John Carols by Candlelight will be broadcast nationally on Channel 7, via 7Two and 7Plus on Sunday 14 December 2025 at 7.00pm, as well as on Christmas Day.
