Tickets for Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s (ASO) much anticipated 2026 Season are now on sale coinciding with the announcement of a regional tour as part of its 90th anniversary year.

The 2026 Season will expand with more South Australians having the chance to experience the ASO with audiences in Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier and Barossa Valley set to be treated to concerts in March and April 2026.

The tour news follows the recent announcement of the ASO’s 2026 Season which will see the orchestra celebrating 90 years of passion, heritage and deep community connection. According to Colin Cornish AM the regional tour is a significant addition to the orchestra’s 2026 season.

“The ASO has a deep history of performing across South Australia and is committed to bringing the orchestra to as many people as possible. We are delighted to be able to present the ASO in the, Murraylands, Limestone Coast and Barossa Valley”, he said.

The ASO will return to Murray Bridge for the first time in more than a decade and Mount Gambier for concerts which will feature popular classics from the likes of Mozart, Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, and music from Mendelssohn’s magical A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Charismatic conductor and long-time ASO collaborator Guy Noble is excited to be leading the orchestra for these concerts.

“It will be an action-packed 75 minutes of great orchestral music, stories and fun. I hope everyone can come along when the ASO rolls into town” said Guy Noble.

The ASO will travel to the Barossa Valley in April for a concert featuring iconic works from the likes of Haydn, Strauss, Mozart and Grainger under the baton of dynamic young conductor Sam Weller.

Andrew Penrose, Principal Timpani, says, “Visiting regional South Australia is always incredibly enjoyable for us as players. The audiences bring a contagious enthusiasm which infects the orchestra. Bringing these moments to the regions in our 90th year will be a special occasion.”

The announcement also coincides with single tickets going on sale for the rest of the ASO’s 2026 Season following a strong response during the subscription package release. The ASO’s 2026 Season is shaping up to be a record year kicking off with the orchestra’s Symphony Series concert, Jupiter and the fanfare of An Evening on Broadway in February.

An Evening on Broadway, conceived and conducted by Jessica Gethin, stars musical theatre favourites Josh Piterman and Amy Manford performing the timeless hits from Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and more.

The season also features an array of special events for families including Peter and the Wolf, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 and the South Australian Premiere of box office hit How to Train Your Dragon in Concert, with the ASO performing the Academy nominated score as the film plays on the big screen at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
