Effie Isobel Unveils Dreamy New Single ‘Peach Heart’

Emerging bubble grunge/dream pop artist effie isobel is back with their latest single, ‘Peach Heart’, a follow-up to their debut track ‘Lip Balm’. effie isobel continues to establish their signature sound, blending ethereal vocals with lush, vibrant instrumentation, delivering a song that perfectly encapsulates the dizzying thrill of a new crush.

‘Peach Heart’ draws inspiration from effie isobel’s personal experiences and heartfelt conversations with close friends. The song delves into the feelings that come from discussing crushes and the inherent human desire for connection. “I noticed our conversations often gravitated toward talking about our crushes, people we want to kiss, people we have a friend-crush on or people we just generally think are beautiful,” effie reflects. “Observing this in conversation made me feel really warm and fuzzy. I couldn’t help but notice our conversations being fueled by appreciation for beauty and the incredibly human ache for connection.”

The track opens with a nostalgic lo-fi intro, featuring a vintage drum machine and radio box effects that evoke the gentle curiosity of meeting someone new. As the song builds, the full band sound bursts forth, mirroring the overwhelming rush that accompanies a burgeoning crush. Crafting ‘peach heart’ was a dynamic and collaborative process. effie began writing the song on their bedroom floor with a nylon string guitar and enlisted the help of various collaborators to bring the vision to life.

Based on Kaurna Land, effie isobel is quickly making a name for themselves. Their debut single ‘Lip Balm’ garnered significant attention from triple J Unearthed, and ‘Peach Heart’ is poised to further solidify their place as a rising star in the indie music world. effie isobel’s music combines soft, sweet vocals with a rich band backdrop, drawing listeners into a world of dreamy pop sounds and heartfelt storytelling. effie’s inspirations include Beabadoobee, Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, Sorry, Wet Leg, Slow Pulp, Mazzy Star, and Slowdive, all of which contribute to the dreamy, textured sound that defines their music.
