Adelaide’s own Hugh Sheridan returns home for St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight 2025
One of Australia’s most celebrated entertainers, Hugh Sheridan, will return to the St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight stage this December, marking another special homecoming for the Adelaide-born performer as he joins South Australia’s most beloved Christmas event.
Performing at Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama on Saturday 13 December 2025, Hugh will bring his trademark charm, energy and connection to the stage for a night that promises to be one of the highlights of this year’s Carols celebration.

A familiar and much-loved face at Carols by Candlelight, Hugh Sheridan has long been part of the event’s festive tradition, delighting audiences with his natural charisma and heartfelt performances. Known for his Silver Logie award-winning role in Packed to the Rafters, acclaimed theatre work, and career as a recording artist, Hugh continues to be one of Australia’s most versatile and captivating performers.
Adding to the excitement, 2025 also sees the release of Hugh’s brand-new Christmas album, The Merriest, showcasing his signature vocal style and passion for timeless holiday music further cementing his connection to the season that inspired so much of his artistry.

With more artists still to be announced, St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight will once again be hosted by 7NEWS Adelaide personalities Rosanna Mangiarelli, Will Goodings and Amelia Mulcahy, for a national television broadcast that shines a spotlight on South Australia.
Join us for the 81st St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight, a Christmas tradition, on Saturday 13 December at Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama. Gates open at 3.00pm with activities, competitions and giveaways, a Christmas market, the Mix 102.3 Street Crew, delicious food from onsite food trucks, and a visit from Santa. The Experience Adelaide Pre-Show Concert begins at 5.00pm, featuring an array of local artists, followed by the main Carols concert at 8.30pm, culminating in a spectacular fireworks finale.

This year’s Carols will be broadcast nationally from 7:00pm-9:30pm on 7two and 7Plus, Sunday 14 December and a replay on Christmas Day, Thursday 25 December.
