Festival Of Halloween Returns To Adelaide

Bigger, Bolder and Darker Than Ever

Adelaide’s favourite Halloween event is back!  The Festival of Halloween is coming back – and it’s bigger, darker and creepier than ever.  Returning on Saturday, October 4, this spooktacular event takes over the Market Shed on Holland for a frightfully fun day celebrating all things Halloween.

Now in its second year, the 2025 event is co-organised by Hallozween – Australia’s biggest and most popular Halloween site, known for serving up creepy goodies all year round. And trust us … they’ve pulled out all the spooky stops this year!  Expect 30+ killer stalls loaded with Halloween-inspired homewares, alternative fashion, spine-chilling art, handmade oddities and devilishly delicious treats.  Brave souls aged 12+ can test their nerves in a scarier-than-ever immersive Halloween Haunt Experience, while roaming scare actors, spooky-themed drinks and Insta-worthy backdrops set the stage for a bunch of spooky fun.  For mini monsters, there’s a Kids’ Haunt, an even bigger trick or treat trail and a hands-on craft area that’ll keep them busy.

“This isn’t your average Halloween event – it’s a celebration of creativity, community and everything that’s just a little bit creepy,” said co-organiser Andrea Beattie.  “We’ve brought together some of the most exciting stallholders and spooky creators in South Australia, so whether you’re into costumes, collectibles or cocktails, there’s something here for everyone.”

Stasia Read, another co-organiser said the festival started as a passion project and has grown into something much more magical.  “We started the Festival of Halloween because there wasn’t anything like it in Adelaide,” she said.  “Now we’ve got this incredible community of makers, performers and fans who are just as obsessed with spooky season as we are. We’re so excited to bring it all back – bigger, bolder, and just a little bit darker.”

What’s on offer:

• 30+ stalls featuring handmade Halloween and spooky wares
• A scarier immersive haunt experience
• Roaming scare actors
• DIY talks and demos with top creatives from the Halloween scene
• Loads of interactive photo opportunities

Costumes are encouraged (the spookier the better), and while the event is family-friendly, the Haunt Experience is recommended for ages 12 and up.
